Ourika Valley day trip

One of the most popular daytrips from Marrakesh , as it is the closest destination to go to , to experience the
Atlas Mountains.

Your tour will start by a picke up from your Hotel or Riad on a smooth drive cap towards the east , where
Ourika valley is located at the foot hills, on the way, from your window you ll definitely notice the difference of life within the first half hour, furthermore  you ll be observing stops to explore some of the art work made by potters, joiners , steelers and carpet makers plus the Argan herbal and cosmetics , as many of handmade artisanal staff.

some good workshops are spread out along the main road sides leading to Ourika Valley ,however these stops are optional and need to be requested to the driver.

Our main target of the daytrip is to get you to experience the Berber life , a visit to a Berber house is one of the
most interesting stops to find out about culture and daily life , Berber welcoming tea is at the top list of an
authentic experience.

Ourika day trip is an opportunity to travel back to the ancient time by stopping at one of the Berber weekly
markets taking place in the area on Mondays , Thursdays and Fridays , a bit similar to the prehistoric markets
where trading and exhibiting are happening to be in randomly built tents and shelters.

The last stop will be to breath a clean air and exercising , you ll be introduced to a professional mountain guide
who will help you climb up to the water falls on a hilly sometimes slippery paths so need to be prepared before
hand, depending on your health condition your hike could last up to two hours to reach an elevation of around
1600 m the scenery is stunning and most likely enjoyable with the Barbarian Apes community as a last specie to survive from extinction in the Atlas Mountains after the Atlas Lion , Wolf and Sphinx.

Later  you come back to enjoy a Berber Lunch (Tagine) by the river , you can require your table to be set
into the water to cool down while having your meal.
